The Dream

 Sakratah comes from the word "secret". It means being in secrecy mood or status in the Egyptian slang tongue. Actually, we invented the word. It has the meaning of hidden hideout.  Sakratah was the perfect name since we wanted this place to be safe, comfortable & away from all distractions. Where people can disappear & re connect with their own selves. 

Shereen & Basant

Around 10 years ago, Basant & Shereen came across each other through a traveling group as they both love exploring. After few trips Fayoum, Siwa, White & Black dessert ...etc, they became friends and started to travel together making their own adventures.

When the dream is born?

Wandering around everywhere, Sinai was the destination. It has like everything they need in life.

One day, back to 2015, after many visits to Sinai, and where their feet in the sea, they looked to each other knowing that "This is the life we want".

"This is going to be my retirement plan" said Shereen.

"Let's do it" said Basant instantly.

They hugged, tapped & splashed in the water knowing that their dream is about to come true.

Ahmed was a friend of Basant. They worked together in many jobs back in Cairo. Now they are Mr. & Mrs. At the time Basant & Shereen were putting the plans about how to start, they knew that Ahmed will be the perfect partner to join the dream, while he himself was doubtful about that. Ahmed was running his own business in Dubai, having all the luxurious aspects Dubai can afford. Totally the opposite of what Sinai offers. It was not easy at all to convince him to come for a visit to the unknown. But as the two ladies were quite sure of what they are offering, they took him for a quick visit, which for him was like kidnapping. Here comes the turning point. The very first moment Ahmed stepped the land of Sinai, his breath was taken by the beauty, peace & relaxing atmosphere. After a period of silence, "hi ladies, I'm in, let's start" he said with a big smile on his face. In this moment they had their first group hug as a team.

Since this moment, the action has begun. Searching for suitable places, talking to people, having good / bad experiences. Till they found the exact perfect spot and they all started putting pieces of their soul in the place. It is now named Sakratah.
